Sophie learning to use the telephone. The beds at the Royal Hotel were nice and big, so we could put our babies in bed with us and not wake each other up with wiggling. It's a lot easier to give them bottles in the middle of the night that way.

A large apartment building on a busy street in Phnom Penh. The typical apartment is comparable to a small studio in Boston. Note the bicycles and motos.

Sophie in Meryl's lap in a taxi. Seat belts? Not in Phnom Penh! Accidents? Yup.

There are several internet cafes around Phnom Penh, but we were too tired to do anything other than schlepp over to the hotel's business office and sign on there.

Our new friend Cade Narath asleep in his Mom's arms on the trip home, and both babies asleep in the arms of their traveling companions in the airport. Ah, how much easier our lives would be if they were always like that!

Sophie smiling in her bassinet seat on the airplane. These things are great if you're not into holding your kid in your lap for 48 hours straight. Click on the picture for a close-up.

If you'd like to see more pictures of Cambodia, I took these two years ago when I traveled to meet Julian.
